The Outdoor Antique Shows of Brimfield To commemorate and celebrate the year 2009 which marks fifty years since the first of the Reid family antique shows was held in 1959, we have developed a web site to serve as a resource for the media; a place where magazine writers and editors, or others in the field of journalism can take articles, images, graphics, short videos, stories, etc. to share the experience of Brimfield and the many aspects of the shows with their readers and subscribers. We invite you to send in any interesting stories or other content about your individual how: What are some of the memorable things that happened over the years, which celebrities have shopped in your fields, have you found anything interesting left behind after the shows, did you hear of any spectacular fiends or treasures discovered on your field... We would also ask you to try to elicit stories or notes from some of your dealers, both those who have been with you for a very long time and those who only recently have joined your shows. We know there are many stores out there and many media outlets are always looking for things to interest their readers and subscribers. Ask some of the exhibitors at your show about perhaps the most wonderful or unusual piece they ever sold or bought on your field. What are some of the fantastic finds they have made over the years? What famous designer or movie set decorators have bought from them?
